The Department of English began functioning as a separate department in 2015 with special focus on communicative English and English Language Teaching. The department regularly conducts conferences, seminars and workshops every year. Resource persons of repute are invited to talk on specific topics and for career development. Department initiated a Certificate Course in Communicative English for the whole students of he college. A Bridge course on ‘Basic Grammar’ is also conducted with a view to improving the writing skill of students in English and to minimize the common errors. The students of English department are encouraged to participate in various competition organized by other colleges. Student centric activities are arranged so as to create interest among students regarding the English language such as, paper presentation, public speaking, elocution competition, paper reading competition, group discussion, movie review, book review and seminars.
