" Let's have a moment of Physics "
The Department of Physics was established in the year 2014 under the headship of Prof. A V Thariyath. Physics is considered as the fundamental of all sciences. All the scientific developments and technologies that we know exploit the rules of physics which extends into our everyday life.
At Alphonsa, the Department of Physics entails well experienced faculty members and lab assistants. The department strives to bring out the best in the students by giving one on one attention when the time permits. We have a well-equipped lab required for our students to perform their practicals under the guidance of their respective lab teachers and lab assistants.
The department of physics strives to achieve excellent result and we have been doing so in the years gone by. The Department of Physics now offers innovative papers like Nano science, Electronics, Communication systems, Laser physics, Astro physics which are contemporary areas of Physics offered at Under Graduate level.
The complementary subjects offered such as, chemistry, mathematics, and computer application provide our students with a well-rounded education that prepares them for success in a variety of careers related to physics. Chemistry, for example, is closely related to physics, and provides students with a deeper understanding of the chemical properties of matter. Mathematics is an essential tool in the field of physics, and helps students to develop their analytical and problem-solving skills. Computer application provides students with the skills they need to work with advanced software and data analysis tools, which are essential in many areas of physics research.
In addition to our academic program, we offer a range of extracurricular activities and events that enrich the experience of students. Our department has a strong community of students, faculty, and alumni, who are passionate about technology and innovation. We encourage students to explore their interests and pursue their goals, and provide guidance and support throughout their academic journey.
